2 alternative learning centres;
1 combined elementary/secondary virtual learning school.
In God’s Image: Growing in Knowledge, with Justice and Hope.
Nurturing the faith development and academic excellence of our Catholic learning community through the love of God, neighbour, and self.
The TCDSB is governed by 12 elected Trustees of the Board and 2 Student Trustees.
Our policies are administered by the Director of Education and the Director's designates.
Learn about our governance:
A very significant role and responsibility of the Board of Trustees is to work with the Director to design the annual performance appraisal plan, to conduct the review, to evaluate the Director’s performance, to give the Director feedback and to begin the cycle again for the following year. View the required attestation for the 2024-2025 appraisal cycle.
The By-Laws of the TCDSB regulate the powers and responsibilities of the Board, its committees and officers.
Members of the public who are interested in Catholic education are welcome to attend public sessions of our Board and Committee meetings.
Our budget process is largely about balancing the ongoing cost pressures associated with operating a large urban school board and ensuring that students receive the best possible environment to encourage achievement and well-being through the lens of Catholic Faith.
We are one of the largest employers in Toronto and are looking for talented and passionate staff to join our team.
