In-School Mental Health Resources

In-School Mental Health resources can be accessed through the school administration or guidance. There are also services of a Social Worker, a Child, and Youth Worker (CYW), and/or a Guidance counselor. Additionally, students can access spiritual support through the Chaplaincy Department.

  • What's Up Walk-In®: Mental Health Counselling. Free mental health counseling by phone/video. To be connected to a counselor for a telephone or video session, please call MHTO at 1-866-585-6486, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

  • Distress Centres of Greater Toronto: Languages available: English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu. Available 24/7 by texting calling 833-456-4566 (nationwide) or 416-408-4357 (GTA).

  • 24/7 Crisis Line – Youthdale: Youthdale Psychiatric Services. You can access the team by calling 416-363-9990.

  • Crisis Text Line​: Available 24/7 in Canada and the US. Text HOME to 741741.
