Investing in Canada Infrastructure Funding (ICIP)

Ontario school boards were allocated an additional $26.5 million through the federal-provincial cost shared Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP), to support additional ventilation improvements in schools. Eligible expenses under this program must be incurred between April 6, 2022 and March 31, 2023.

As part of the ICIP funding, the TCDSB received $1,774,874 for this initiative. The following projects were completed as part of the ICIP program:

  • Neil McNeil Catholic Secondary School: Make up Air Unit and Exhaust Fan Replacement

  • St. John Paul II Catholic Secondary School: 4 Make Up Air units

  • St. Theresa Shrine Catholic School: Terminal Units, Air Handling Unit and BAS upgrades

  • Transfiguration of Our Lord Catholic School: Terminal units, Fan Coil units and BAS

  • System-wide: Board Wide Ventilation Condition Assessment

  • System-wide: Ventilation Strategy in Non-Mechanically Ventilated Schools

  • System-wide: System HVAC Maintenance & Purchase of HEPA units
