A collage of three photos showing locations in the Catholic Education Centre of the Toronto Catholic District School Board. The first photo shows a sculpture of Jesus on the wall next to a display of repeating metal crosses. The second shows a long glass door into which is frosted the Holy Cross with sun rays illuminating it. The third photo shows a wooden display of the Heart, the Cross and the Anchor, which are elements of the TCDSB logo.

About Us

At the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB), the Nurturing Our Catholic Community (NCC) team is centered on fostering a positive and meaningful journey of faith for staff and students through the work of:

  • The Catholic Teacher Centre, which nurtures faith formation opportunities through the board pastoral plan, retreats, and liturgical/prayer resources.

  • The Religious Education & Family Life Department, which supports curriculum programs for grades K-12 and staff professional development.

  • The Catholic Student Leadership Impact Team (CSLIT) which facilitates opportunities for students to develop faith-centered leadership skills.

We gratefully acknowledge the work and outstanding service of Religion Representatives in elementary schools, and Chaplaincy Leaders in secondary schools, for their commitment to nurturing faith.

We also acknowledge the support of various organizations who are partners in Catholic education across the province.

Our Catholic schools offer an extraordinary contribution to the social and environmental fabric of our society and world. Catholic schools have a unique opportunity to accompany students in the search for truth; to foster in them a thirst for justice and an appreciation of the goodness of God, leading them patiently and lovingly in their journey of faith.
